Title: The Quilter's Apprentice
Author: Jennifer Chiaverini

During their lessons, the intricate, varied threads of Sylvia's life begin to emerge. Rating: Very good!
Why I Like It: First book in series, the whole series is very good! Characters are interesting, carries on from one book to the next, I liked some of the books better than others, but would rate them all very good.
Other: Did listen to some on audio – enjoyed both reading & audio.

  1. I really enjoyed this book series, and I was sad when I got to the last one. I like how the meaning behind the quilt patterns would be incorporated in the story lines. Luke would make fun of the books and how many plot points could involve a quilt! I still enjoyed the books. Easy and fun reading.

  2. More recent historical Civil War books that I haven't read yet are:
"Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker" & "The Spymistress" - They both look very good!

  3. I like these books too, though I am only halfway through. Wouldn't it be cool to go to quilt camp? It sounds fun and relaxing.
